District Governor 2025-2026 Goals

Emphasizing Extending Clubs, ensuring active participation, and expanding the reach of Lions Clubs.

  • Net Growth: Aiming for a 15% net growth with existing clubs.
  • Retention: Achieving 90% retention with existing clubs.
  • New Clubs: Chartering 10 new clubs, including specialty clubs.
  • New Member Orientation: Organizing new member orientation at the district level.

  • Net Growth: Aiming for a 10% net growth in existing clubs.
  • Retention: Achieving 95% retention in existing clubs.
  • Club Strengthening: Bringing clubs with less than 20 members to a strength of 21 and above.
  • Indoctrination: Ensuring effective indoctrination of all prospective Lions.
  • Youth Engagement: Promoting the Leo Lion program.
  • New Member Orientation: Orienting new Lions and Leo members.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Organizing symposiums for family and women members.
  • Leadership Workshops: Conducting New Voices Leadership workshops.

The focus here is on Training and Empowering Lions members at all levels to effectively lead and manage their clubs and district activities.

  • Club Level Training: Imparting leadership training to 700 Lions at the club level.
  • Officer Schooling: Providing training for Cabinet, Club, and Leo Club officers.
  • Specialized Training: Conducting workshops for Zone Chairpersons and seminars for District Chairpersons.
  • Conclaves: Organizing District and Club level GAT Conclaves.
  • Guiding Lions: Implementing a Certified Guiding Lions Programme.
  • CQI Programs: To conduct CQI Programs in 30 Clubs
  • Leadership Institutes: Offering Regional Lions Leadership Programme (RLLI) and District Lions Leadership Institute (DLLI).

Quest Programs: Organizing four Training of Trainers (TTW) for Quest and implementing Quest programs in more schools.

Competitions: Promoting Peace Poster competitions

The overarching goal for the Global Service Team is to ensure every club has at least one permanent project or activity, demonstrating a sustained commitment to community service.

A strong emphasis on health-related initiatives with quantifiable targets:

  • Screening: Screening 25,000 people for diabetes and 25,000 for vision.
  • Aid: Distributing 5,000 spectacles and facilitating 1,000 cataract surgeries.
  • Camps: Conducting four Mega Health Camps (one per quarter).
  • Awareness: Organizing awareness programs on childhood cancer and assisting children undergoing treatment.
  • Blood Donation: Organizing blood donation camps to collect 20,000 units of blood.

Focused on environmental conservation and awareness:

  • Afforestation: Planting 20,000 saplings.
  • Awareness: Raising awareness on the use of non-biodegradable plastic, rainwater harvesting, and promoting the E-Waste program.

Club Participation: Encouraging clubs to actively participate in hunger relief efforts.

This highlights collaboration with LCIF to undertake significant projects and provide support:

  • Centres: Undertaking Vision Centres and Diabetes Centres with LCIF support.
  • Scholarships: Providing scholarships worth Rs. 20 lakh to 50 students.

  • Major Contributions: Contributing a minimum of $50,000 to LCIF by motivating 50 Lions/Leos to become Melvin Jones Fellows (MJF) or Progressive Melvin Jones Fellows (PMJF).
  • Campaign 100: Ensuring clubs that pledged to become Campaign 100 Model Clubs fulfill their pledge before May 31, 2026.
  • Individual Contributions: Reaching out to more Lions to contribute at least $50 or $100 per member to participate in the Lions Share program.

  • Partnerships: Identifying corporate, government, and semi-government departments to partner with district and club projects through the Lions District Service Foundation (LDSF).
  • Public Relations / Image Building / Marketing

  • Events: Conducting rallies and walkathons.
  • Social Media: Encouraging clubs to post service activities on social media and prominent publications.
  • Outreach: Erecting hoardings at key locations in the district geographic area.
