Lions Club of Bangalore East organized an impactful walkathon and fun-filled activities for children at Sunaad School for Hearing Impaired on account of Mental Health and Well-being Service Week on 10th October 2025, at Dr. S.R. Chandrashekar Institute of Speech and Hearing.
PID Lion V.V. Krishna Reddy, Chairman of the Institute, inaugurated the event, highlighting the importance of mental health. Lion V.V.Krishna Reddy thanked the management of Carelon Global Solution for their generous contributions of $28,000 towards mid-day meals for the Sunaad School for Hearing Impaired Children.

Ramachandran, PID Lion Vamshidhar Babu, 40 Lion members from Bangalore East, Bangalore Ladybird, Bangalore Prerana, Staff and employees from Dr.S.R.Chandrashekar Institute of Speech and Hearing, 36 Employees from Carelon Global Solutions, 200 students from Sunaad School for Hearing Impaired, participated in the event.
Participants carried placards spreading awareness on mental health and well-being during the walkathon.
A fun-filled afternoon of recreational activities for 200 children of Sunaad School for Hearing Impaired, included paper quilling, pot and diya painting, and silk thread bangle making. The kids beamed with joy and laughter, showcasing their confidence and creativity through dance performances and a fashion show.
Celebrating the spirit of giving! Lion members and Carelon Global Solutions employees came together to prepare and serve a festive lunch to the children at Sunaad School for the Hearing Impaired. We're grateful for Carelon Global Solutions' generous contribution of $28,000 towards providing mid-day meals to these deserving children.
