Stitching Dreams – Empowering Women Through Skill Development

The Lions Club of Bangalore Dooravaninagar, established in 2019, is committed to serving the community with impactful and sustainable service initiatives.
We are proud to launch one of our most meaningful Permanent Project, “Women Empowerment: Stitching Dreams” a Free Tailoring Training Program dedicated to supporting women in our neighborhood.
This initiative aims to empower women who aspire to become self-reliant, independent, and confident earners.
A batch of 30 enthusiastic women has enrolled in the first session which will complete in TWO months. To ensure quality and professional skill development, a qualified and experienced tailoring TRAINER has been appointed to conduct the classes.
The inauguration of this project was held on 19th October 2025, graced by eminent personalities from the community, along with distinguished Leaders and Officers of Lions International, District 317E.

The classes officially commenced on 01 November 2025, and upon successful completion, each participant will be awarded a Course Completion
Certificate.
To further encourage excellence and support entrepreneurship:
• One New Sewing Machine will be awarded to the Best Performer of the batch.
• Additionally, another Sewing Machine will be donated to a deserving and financially challenged participant, empowering her to start her own livelihood.
Through this initiative, we aim not only to teach a skill, but also to instil confidence, create income opportunities, and uplift families.
Our vision is to see these women evolve into independent earners, micro-entrepreneurs, and role models for others in the community.
This project stands as a testament to our Club’s dedication toward sustainable community service, fostering Women Empowerment, Skill Training and Socio-Economic Development.
We believe that when you empower a woman, you empower an entire family and, eventually, the community - We Serve.
