A permanent project of the Lions Club of Bangalore Greater Bannerghatta focusing on skill-building and women empowerment.
The Lions Club of Bangalore Greater Bannerghatta, established in 2021, proudly launched one of its most meaningful Permanent Projects Samruddhi School of Tailoring and Design a free tailoring training centre dedicated to empowering women in the community.
The project was inaugurated on 4 January 2025 in the presence of:
• Lion Chandra H Reddy, PMJF – District Governor 2024-25
• Lion Sudha Reddy MN, PMJF – DCS
• Lion Sowmya B.A, PMJF – DCT
• Lion Anthony Raphael – Region Chairperson
• Lion Renuka Prakash – Zone Chairperson
The ceremony was also attended by the President, Secretary, Treasurer, First Vice President, and members of the Lions Club of Bangalore Greater Bannerghatta.
Classes began on 6 January 2024, and participants of every batch receive a Course Completion Certificate and to encourage excellence, the Best Performer will be awarded a new sewing machine from each batch.
A batch of 20 women enrolled for the three-month course, led by a qualified and experienced tailoring instructor to ensure professional skill development.
This project aims to equip women with skills, confidence, and income-generating opportunities, helping them become independent earners and future entrepreneurs.
Samruddhi stands as a testament to our commitment to Women Empowerment, Skill Development, and Sustainable Community Service.
