India is home to one of the largest diabetic populations in the world, with over 77 million adults currently living with diabetes, according to the International Diabetes Federation (IDF). This number is projected to rise significantly, potentially reaching over 134 million by 2045. Recognizing the urgent need to combat the diabetes crisis, Lions International has made diabetes awareness one of its key global causes and actively works to educate communities about diabetes prevention, early detection, and management through local and international initiatives.
